Fragility2

“To identify incidents of self-harm through the medium of paint does not glorify the experiences of self-harm.
It shows an image of injury after the incident, exaggerated and at times distorted, not to promote a glamorous image, but a truthful documentation of a traumatic event. The finished paintings are not there to tantalise or to provoke incidents of self-harm, it is a positive response to actions previously undertaken, a way of communicating”
